Ojio Organic Yerba Mate is perhaps the oldest energy drink on the planet.  The beverage is made by infusing hot water with   healthful and energizing ingredients from the leaves and tender stems of the Yerba Mate tree which grows in the rainforests of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina.  It is a stimulant beverage like coffee or tea, with some important differences.  Ojio Organic Yerba Mate contains 24 vitamins and minerals essential amino acids, and is abundant in amino acids, in addition to the naturally occurring caffeine. 

The traditional South American way to drink it is from a gourd through a straw, the same way it has been consumed for more than 500 years.  Over the past centuries, any number of delicious and stimulating recipes have been created.
